The BIN Data section of your Pagos Service Panel identifies the top BINs associated with payment cards you’ve processed. Use this information to gain valuable context on your customers and their preferred payment methods. To access BIN Data, click BIN Data under Data Enrichment in the main navigation. This section contains three pages:

Note: If you’ve subscribed to Peacock, you can access the Data page within the BIN Data section. Only subscribers to Parrot can see the Lookup and API Metrics pages.

Data

The Data page includes a table breaking down the top BINs in your transaction data. Click any row to open a BIN Details page for that BIN. By default, the table shows data from the last seven days; use the Date Range filter in the top-right corner of the page to change the time period.

Choose from the following tabs to populate your BIN Data table:

To filter your BIN data, click Add Filter, then select from the available filter options. Click Export to download a CSV file of the data in that tab’s table.

BIN Details

From any BIN Data tab, click a row in the table to open a corresponding BIN Details page. This page lists all the standard and enhanced data we have in our BIN database for a given BIN. For a full list of the data fields available, see our BIN Data Dictionary.

On the right side of the BIN Details page, we display Processing Activity for the BIN. This includes:

  • Total count and value of attempted transactions

  • Approval rate, total count, and cumulative value of approved transactions

  • Decline rate, total count, and cumulative value of declined transactions

  • Approval rate, total count, and cumulative value of verifications

BIN Data Filters

At this time, you can apply the following filters to the BIN Data page:

  • Date Range

  • Processor

  • Card Brand

  • Transaction Response Code (i.e. decline codes)

To apply a filter, click Add Filter, then select a filter option and your desired parameters. The filter will remain in place when you navigate to different tabs on the BIN Data page. Click the X beside the filter at the top of your table to remove it.

Lookup

Look up a BIN and review the response in plain text or as it would appear in a response from the BIN Data API. Click on a sample BIN to test out the lookup functionality quickly. For a full list of the data fields available and their descriptions, see our BIN Data Dictionary.

API Metrics

Review data for the types of requests you’ve made to the BIN Data API and the response time of those requests. By default, these graphs display data by day from the last seven days. To view historical data, click the Date Range filter.
