# Transaction Response Category Codes (Decline Code Categories)

| Short Code                               | Description                                                                 |
| :--------------------------------------- | :-------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| approved                                 | Transaction was approved                                                    |
| problem\_with\_customer\_account         | There was a problem with the customer's account                             |
| merchant\_or\_processing\_error          | Transaction was rejected due to an error on your end or with your processor |
| cancelled                                | Transaction was canceled                                                    |
| pending                                  | Transaction is pending authorization                                        |
| blocked\_by\_gateway\_or\_merchant\_rule | Transaction was gateway rejected                                            |
| unknown                                  | Unknown                                                                     |
