# Pagos Tag

> Invite Pagos AI into the Slack channels where you already talk payments.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Beta Feature:**
> Pagos Tag is currently in Beta. Reach out to your Pagos Account Manager to request access.

Pagos Tag gives your organization access to Pagos AI within the Slack channels where your teams already work. Tag Pagos, ask questions about your clean, harmonized payments data, and receive answers complete with expertly designed charts and graphs.

## Setting up Pagos Tag

To get started with Pagos Tag (Pagos account Admins only):

**Step 1**

[Sign in](https://secure.pagos.ai/sign-in) to the Pagos Service Panel.

**Step 2**

Click the **settings** icon in the top-right corner of the Pagos Service Panel, then click **Integrations** under your Organization's name. This opens a pop-up for your Pagos AI integration with Slack.

**Step 3**

Click **Connect Slack**.

**Step 4**

Select your preferred Slack workspace from the dropdown, then click **Allow**.

**Step 5**

Once connected, invite Pagos to the Slack channels from which you want to request payments data.

From there, you can tag Pagos in the enabled channels with your payments data questions, and Pagos AI will respond in a thread. Ask follow-up questions in that same thread and Pagos AI will maintain context while assisting you in further analysis. See [Pagos Tag Access](#pagos-tag-access) below for more information on who can tag Pagos in Slack and who can view the responses.

## Managing Pagos Tag Settings

To make changes to your Pagos Tag setup:

**Step 1**

Click the **settings** icon in the top-right corner of the Pagos Service Panel, then click **Integrations** under your Organization's name.

**2. Adjust Channel Settings**

All Channels with Pagos Tag enabled appear in a list under **Channels**. Click a toggle to turn off access to the associated channel; click again to re-enable Pagos Tag.

**3. Add Custom Channel Instructions**

Click a channel name to open a **Custom Instructions** text box. Tell Pagos what a channel focuses on, which reporting conventions it follows, or how to format answers. For example, “This is our full team channel, keep your answers short to avoid spamming.”

**4. Adjust Channel Access**

In the **Channel Access** section, choose between the available options:

* **Internal channels only** - Only Slack channels containing members of your organization can access Pagos Tag
* **Include external channels** - All Slack channels—even those containing members outside of your organization—can access Pagos Tag

**5. Set Up Direct Messages**

Use the checkbox to determine whether or not individuals can contact Pagos AI in a direct message. When enabled, all Slack users with a Pagos account can send direct messages to Pagos AI requesting payments data.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only the person asking can see the answer, and all direct requests count toward your [usage limits](#usage-limits).

## Pagos Tag Access

Only Slack users with a [Pagos account](https://docs.pagos.ai/getting-started/managing-your-pagos-account.md) can tag Pagos in Slack to invite it into a channel or ask questions. The data Pagos AI accesses on your behalf also depends on your permissions; if your business has set up a [custom MID hierarchy](https://docs.pagos.ai/getting-started/managing-your-pagos-organization.md#adding-a-custom-mid-hierarchy) and your user only has access to a certain set of MIDs, Pagos AI will answer your questions using the data associated with those MIDs.

All members of a Slack channel can view the information and data Pagos AI generates, regardless of their Pagos account status or permissions. There are no restrictions on who can view the data, just on who can request it. Keep in mind who is in a channel before tagging Pagos with your data questions.

Pagos Tag keeps each channel’s conversation separate, so the answers stay specific to that channel’s purpose.

## Usage Limits

The following usage limits are shared across your entire organization’s Pagos Tag integration:

* Requests - 120 per hour; capacity resets each hour
* Queued or running - 100 at a time; capacity returns as requests finish or stop

> [!NOTE]
>
> Conversations [with Pagos AI in Pagos Insights](https://docs.pagos.ai/pagos-ai/pagos-ai-insights.md) don't count toward these limits.
